The Ohio river is at 47.1 feet tonight and on the climb.  Harrah's Metropolis Riverboat Casino is shut down and working feverishly trying to get the main entrance sand bagged in to keep the river out of the casino.

I haven't posted anything here in a while

I've had a bad winter, my garage is packed to the rafters so I haven't had any inspiration to work on anything.  Well this last week I went and ordered a 12x20 storage building so that I can have some place to store my junk.  So here in a week or so I get to have my garage back!  And really none to soon.  I've got the alternator down on the truck have been putting the battery charger on it at the end of every day for quite some time now. Tires need to be rotated badly, which I went over to Harbor Freight and bought a 2nd pair of 6 ton jack stands so that I can get the truck up off it's tires for that job.  Yeah 6 ton is overkill the truck weighs 5 ton total, but I like the larger sturdier bases and taller stands that you get with the 6 ton stands. plus they absolutely are sturdy under load.

     I have quite a few truck projects that need to be done this summer if I can find the energy. Truck is due a brake job. And it's time for an oil change.

     I hope everyone else are having lots of luck with their projects, please let me know what you're working on so that maybe I can draw some inspiration.

Tearing up the drivers door

Well I'm not having the best day.  Earlier today I was opening the drivers door on our 2000 Ford E350 Goshen Coach and the wind took the door out of my hand and flung it open.  It tore the strap off that stops the door from opening too far and went way past it and jammed up the door into the sheet metal on the front fender.
     Now when I open my door I can just barely get it open before it hangs on the sheet metal of the fender.  So now I need to take it to a body shop and see about getting it repaired.

Still using the battery charger

Well I still haven't had the energy to dive into the truck and tear the alternator off the top of our 2000 Ford E350 7.3L Powerstroke turbo diesel Goshen coach.  I've been charging it when I park it for the day with my 6amp charger.
     Yesterday the batteries wouldn't take a charge when I got home, which means yesterday the alternator was working perfectly.  Today it's taking a charge again so the alternator didn't work today.
     Well that's the extent of my report for today.
